Lisa and Lisle's Christmas Card....

Every year Tommy and I receive one Christmas card that stands out above all the rest. This year the card came from Lisa and Lisle, our daughter and son of our heart. They live in Florida, a 20 minute drive to the Gulf and just this side of paradise.

The card pictures the nativity scene created with sea shells. It is simple and perfect for anyone who loves sand, sea shells and the ocean. We love all 3. The shelter for Jesus  is made of drift wood. A star fish is in the background lighting the the way. A piece of seaweed adds the only color. At the bottom of the card is written "Rejoice". Simple, and to the point.

Life is short, and goes by so very fast. If a person lives to be a 100 it is still an insignificant  amount of time compared to eternity. One of the great things about human nature is that people will forever create beauty in the things they see.  Beauty in the words spoken by voices only they can hear. Music coming from their soul after a walk on the beach or a climb in the mountains or in the midst of city crowd.

Creativity finds a way to appear, just like Jesus did. It is usually unconventional, doesn't always appeal to the masses but makes a lasting impression on mankind....just like Jesus did. He knows what creativity is all about. He was there when it began.
